MEET YOUR TRAINER: MIKE

Welcome to Kodiak Fit Club. My name is Mike Tolbert, and I am the founder and head trainer here in Cedar Park, Texas. I’m a Certified Personal Trainer and Sports Performance Coach, specializing in one-on-one and team training across multiple gyms and fitness centers in the Cedar Park area.

With over 15 years of hands-on experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients—from youth and collegiate athletes to military personnel, law enforcement professionals, and individuals of all fitness levels. My programs are designed to deliver results through proven methods rooted in discipline, functionality, and athletic performance.

I am a lifelong athlete with a deep passion for competition and performance. I played collegiate football at Baylor University (2000 - 2004), where I earned a full athletic scholarship and became a starting linebacker in the Big 12 Conference. After college, I continued my football career professionally with the Amsterdam Admirals (NFL Europe) and later with the OKC Dawgz (Arena Football League) from 2007–2010.

My passion for training began to evolve into a career. Knowledge through study and application of various training methods has allowed me to develop young athletes and help them build a solid foundation of stability strength, and speed through resistance training.

My approach is built on the same values that have guided me throughout my athletic and professional life: discipline, consistency, faith, humility, dedication, and hard work. Every athlete with dreams and hopes of becoming a collegiate or professional athlete has to develop, cultivate, and strengthen inner discipline, dedication, humility, and commitment to giving great effort consistently. As your Sports Performance Coach and Personal Trainer, every lift, drill, sprint, or jump session we do is guided by and connected to developing those skills and enhancing your athletic ability. Whether you are an athlete looking to run faster, jump higher, get stronger or a professional wanting to take control of your health and fitness, the Kodiak Fit Club mission is to help you maximize your athletic potential in every phase of your development.
